On Friday June 20th 2008 Detroit 8th Battalion companies responded to a reported dwelling fire in the area of Hallock and Dequindre. Upon arrival of Engine 56 they advised they had a working fire and they were stretching on an occupied dwelling. The fire was quickly knocked down. Engines 56/44/35 Truck 30 Squad 5 and Chief 8 responded to this box alarm.
