On Saturday March 1st 2008, Detroit 9th Battalion companies were dispatched to a reported dwelling fire at 14307 Elmdale and Chalmers. Came in as an occupied dwelling fire with people possibly trapped. Upon arrival of Engine 50 they advised they were stretching on an occupied 2.3 sty dwelling, with people self evacuating. The Fire was quickly brought under control using the full box alarm assignment. Engines 50/58/46 Ladder 23/31 Squad 6 and Chief 9 responded to this Box Alarm.
