On Saturday March 1st 2008, At aprox 2220 hours, Detroit Central Office dispatched a Still alarm for Engine 23 & Ladder 30 to the area of Peter Hunt & Robert for companies checking for a possible dwelling fire. Upon arrival of Engine 23 they advised they were stretching on a dwelling and requesting the box. Central office sent the remainder of the box alarm assignment. Companies were responding outside there first alarm districts due to numerous other fires, low manpower and a extra alarm fire all going on at the same time. There was also a bad hydrant right in front of the fire building, Engine 23 had to stretch down the block to the next working hydrant. Engines 23/60/32/46 Ladder 30 Squad 6 and Chief 9 responded to this box alarm. Companies operated for aprox. 2 hours working on suppression and overhaul.
